Hello, this is CTNS.
We are pleased to announce that CTNS continues to make significant strides in developing high-performance battery packs optimized for Aptera’s electric vehicles (EVs).
Following our KRW 12 billion (~USD 90 million) supply agreement with Aptera last December, we are fully committed to delivering cutting-edge battery solutions, further solidifying our position as a leader in next-generation battery technology.
Battery Packs Featuring Wire Bonding Technology

The battery packs for Aptera’s EVs are distinguished by the application of wire bonding technology. This advanced method uses precision metal wires to connect battery cells and modules, ensuring superior stability and efficiency.
Compared to the traditional spot-welding techniques previously employed by CTNS, wire bonding allows for greater flexibility in managing complex cell configurations.
This approach also helps reduce the weight and size of the battery packs, making them ideal for applications where weight is critical, such as electric vehicles and robotics.
By integrating this technology, we aim to enhance vehicle performance while ensuring exceptional safety and quality standards.

On-Site Expertise at Aptera’s Factory
Currently, CTNS engineers and technical staff are stationed at Aptera’s headquarters, actively supporting the production of battery pack prototypes.

In addition, we are evaluating the implementation of advanced wire bonding equipment to further optimize the manufacturing process.
Continuous improvement efforts will persist throughout the mass production phase to guarantee top-tier quality.
Strengthening Global EV Battery Market Competitiveness
This collaboration with Aptera marks a significant milestone for CTNS, and we intend to leverage this opportunity to enhance our competitiveness in the global EV battery market.
Thank you for your continued interest and support as CTNS leads innovation in battery technology.
