What is the Baby Unicorn Development Project?
The Baby Unicorn Development Project, organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, aims to identify promising companies with innovative business models and growth potential.
These companies are supported to become pre-unicorns with a corporate value of over 100 billion KRW by providing market development funds, special guarantees, and other support to enhance their global competitiveness.
Benefits of Being Selected as a Baby Unicorn
Companies selected as baby unicorns receive up to 300 million KRW in market development funds. This year, a new special guarantee from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (up to 5 billion KRW) has been introduced to help baby unicorn companies secure growth capital smoothly.
Additionally, selected companies receive benefits such as global consulting, support for global expansion, and R&D planning assistance.
