CTNS is here. With the increasing demand for golf cart batteries, we have added a new lineup to our Zenion battery pack to make it more convenient for our customers to use.


The new golf cart battery pack lineup has been made with lithium iron phosphate batteries. Unlike typical lithium iron phosphate battery packs, we have enhanced safety and considered user convenience.

Traditionally, recommended golf cart battery products were made primarily with lead-acid batteries. However, due to safety issues and battery efficiency, there has been a recent trend towards lithium batteries.


Lead-acid batteries are inexpensive but have limitations in energy density and lifespan. Lithium batteries, on the other hand, have many aspects that can compensate for the disadvantages of lead-acid batteries. Consequently, recent golf cart manufacturers are choosing to use lithium-ion batteries or lithium iron phosphate batteries according to the characteristics of their devices.




Comparison of Lead-Acid and Lithium Batteries

Lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries each have their pros and cons. Lead-acid batteries require periodic maintenance, generally have a shorter lifespan, and produce sulfuric acid gas, leading to environmental pollution issues.


In contrast, lithium-ion batteries are made by inserting a separator between the cathode and anode materials to prevent direct contact, followed by the injection of an electrolyte.


Due to their simple structure, they are inexpensive to manufacture, lightweight, have low self-discharge, and no memory effect, allowing for recharging even when not fully discharged, resulting in high efficiency. However, they have a critical downside: the risk of explosion or fire if overcharged or exposed to high temperatures.


This is why the popularity of lithium iron phosphate batteries has been rising recently, along with lithium-ion batteries. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are heavier than lithium-ion but lighter than lead-acid batteries. They do not explode but only suffer internal damage in cases of overcharging and deep discharging.


For this reason, they are considered relatively safe compared to lithium-ion batteries and are also more suitable for golf cart batteries that need to be used outdoors. They are also believed to have a longer lifespan and be more environmentally safe.

Automated Manufacturing Processes

The Zenion battery pack maintains uniform product quality and reduces unnecessary production costs through automated manufacturing processes during battery pack production, resulting in reasonable pricing.


CTNS’s unique Flexible Manufacturing System (C-FMS) for battery packs allows for the input of various pack recipes on a single line, enabling flexible production of various models to meet customer demands during battery pack production. Additionally, we maintain product quality uniformly with various functions such as vision inspection, welding inspection, and plasma cleaning.




Rigorous Quality Control

The Zenion battery pack undergoes a primary quality inspection through automated facilities before shipping, followed by a secondary quality inspection. The quality inspections conducted through professional equipment boast a low defect rate of less than 1% as of 2023. Furthermore, we have increased product reliability with a 500 million won product liability insurance policy and one year of free A/S.
